Impact

Housing Alaskans' first $1M in grant disbursements brought 84 new homes online for Alaskans in six communities across the state. The grants kickstarted new housing developments, reigniting shovel-ready developments stalled by rising construction costs or closing financial gaps preventing groundbreaking or project completion in 2023. The new homes are providing six communities with desperately needed housing solutions for seniors, very low—to middle-income families, individuals seeking permanent supportive housing, and domestic violence survivors.
